This course provides training in servicing, fault-finding, and commissioning domestic and commercial Type A gas appliances, including complex units with electrical or electronic controls. 

Students learn correct servicing procedures:

    • diagnosing and repairing gas/electrical faults
    • leak and combustion-safety checks
    • appliance reconnection
    • compliance with relevant standards.

The course includes the following prerequisite units of competency:

    • CPCPCM2043 Carry out WHS requirements
    • CPCPGS3053 Disconnect and reconnect Type A gas appliances.
